 Knoxville, Tennessee - January 31, 2002 - The Initial Group, a managed care organization owned by Baptist Health System of East Tennessee, is pleased to announce its new provider contract with FOCUS HEALTHCARE MANAGEMENT, INC.. FOCUS is one of the largest PPO Networks in the United States, with over 320,000 providers in 43 states. FOCUS, a wholly owned subsidiary of Concentra, Inc., was formed to address the needs of the growing Worker's Compensation marketplace. Both The Initial Group and FOCUS market health network services to payors and employers to provide quality care for their client's members. Both companies believe in a worker's compensation emphasis on returning the employee to work. As of January 1, 2002, FOCUS will now access the worker's compensation network built by The Initial Group to serve the East Tennessee employer marketplace. - END -
